 PAKISTAN-TURKEY RELATIONS

Turkey supports Pakistan's membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group.

Turkey and Pakistan are founding members of the Economic Cooperation Organization and part of the Developing 8 Countries (D-8) organization.


TAI TF-X
A proposed stealth twin-engine all-weather air superiority fighter being developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI).
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense claimed that the TF-X would make its first flight by 2023.


"Turkey sees nuclear power Pakistan as a strategic ally and potential partner in building its Siper long-range missile-defense project and TF-X fighter jet," the report added.

According to reports, the Siper is a longrange, high-altitude surface-to-air missile system that can engage both aircraft and ballistic missiles.

However, it is the TF-X project that is considered the cornerstone of Turkey's defence modernisation plans.

JF-17 Thunder fighter jet

Turkey's addition to Pakistan's defence
and military level manufacturing, would also open gateway for Istanbul to be part of the JF-17 Thunder fighter jets, that Pakistan develops with China. Turkey would also be able to collaborate on defence projects with Pakistan in the coming days.



INNAH-CLASS FRIGATE
The Jinnah class is a class of multi-role frigates currently under development for the Pakistan Navy.
The class is being designed through the expertise gained by Pakistan under the
MILGEM project.
MILGEM project is a national warship program of the Republic of Turkey.

ATAK-12

ATAK-12 is a twin-engine, tandem seat, multi- role, all-weather attack helicopter based on the Agusta A129 Mangusta platform It is in use by the Turkish Army, and is being offered to other services.


On 25 May 2018, it was reported that Pakistan signed an agreement with Turkey to procure 30TI29s
The total contract value for the 30TI29 ATAK helicopters, intended to replace the PAACS aging and worn out fleet of AH-IF Cobra helicopter gunships, is estimated at over $I.5 bilion making it one of Turkey's
most expensive defense acquisitions in recent decades.

As of December 2018, the manufacturer could not obtain the necessary export permit from the US Department of Defense for the LHTEC T800-4A engine for the TI29, and the manufacturer sought a replacement engine to enable Turkey to complete the transaction.


United States' blockade comes as the impact of US sanctions on Turkey, triggered by Ankara's decision to buy S-400 missiles from Russia.

In 2021,Turkey is to start to replacing the LHTEC T800 with its indigenous TEI TS1400 powerplant.The TEI TSI400 is a turboshaft engine for rotary wing applications. It is developed by the Tusaş Engine Industries (TEI) in Turkey.

पाकिस्तान-तुर्की संबंध

 तुर्की परमाणु आपूर्तिकर्ता समूह की पाकिस्तान की सदस्यता का समर्थन करता है।

 तुर्की और पाकिस्तान आर्थिक सहयोग संगठन के सदस्य और विकासशील 8 देशों (डी -8) संगठन का हिस्सा हैं।

 तुर्की के राष्ट्रीय रक्षा मंत्रालय ने दावा किया कि टीएफ-एक्स 2023 तक अपनी पहली उड़ान बनाएगा।

 


 रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि तुर्की परमाणु शक्ति वाले पाकिस्तान को अपनी सहयोगी लंबी दूरी की मिसाइल-रक्षा परियोजना और टीएफ-एक्स फाइटर जेट बनाने में एक रणनीतिक सहयोगी और संभावित भागीदार के रूप में देखता है।

 रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, सांप एक लंबी, उच्च ऊंचाई वाली सतह से हवा में मार करने वाली मिसाइल प्रणाली है जो विमान और बैलिस्टिक दोनों मिसाइलों को संलग्न कर सकती है।

 JF-17 थंडर फाइटर जेट

 जिन्ना वर्ग पाकिस्तान की नौसेना के लिए वर्तमान में विकास के तहत बहु-भूमिका फ्रिगेट का एक वर्ग है।

 वर्ग को पाकिस्तान द्वारा प्राप्त विशेषज्ञता के माध्यम से डिजाइन किया जा रहा है

 ATAK-12
