Myanmar's first satellite held by Japan on International Space Station after coup violation.

In 2017, the Myanmar government established a steering committee to set up a Myanmar-owned satellite system
In August 2019, Intelsat 39,
a communications satellite, was launched from French Guiana.
Myanmar has obtained the right to use part of the satellite's functions for services in the country.

Myanmar planned to launch its first satellite in 2021, using japanese technology.
Engineers and researchers in the country will develop an ultrasmall satellite and launch it into Earth orbit with the help of Japan's Hokkaido University and Tohoku University.

The satellite will be an earth observation satellite, which will be used to raise productivity in agriculture, as well as to prevent and reduce damage from disasters and monitor environmental pollution.

Under the program, the Myanmar engineers will develop two satellites over five years, and through a series of processes leading up to the launch, they

will gain expertise in designing satellites and analyzing satellite data.

The total cost of I.7 billion yen ($16 million), including satellite development and launch costs, will be financed by the Myanmar government.

SATELLITES

Emerging Asian countries, such as the
Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia, have become active in space development. While large satellites cost hundreds of millions of dollars to develop, the development costs for microsatelites are about a hundred times less, at $3 million to $5 million each.

Myanmar's satellite was launched by NASA on Feb 20 as a small part of a large and varied payload of supplies to the International Space Station 400km above the earth. It has since been kept by JAXA inside Japan's Kibo experiment module. JAXA astronaut Soichi Noguchi is one of the seven crew members now on board the space station.

"We won't get involved in anyching
that has to do with the military. The
satellite was not designed for that"
one of the officials, a manager of the
project.

At last india have an oppurtunity to grow bussiness and better relation ASIEN country.

Intelsat 39,

Inndian Navy finally Gets Access to strategic Agalega island in Mauritius

Two outer islands of Mauritius located in the Indian Ocean This base on Agalega will cement India's presence in the south-west Indian Ocean and facilitate its power projection aspirations in this region. The small, remote Mauritian island of  North Agalega , located in the south-western Indian Ocean, 1,122 kilometres north of Mauritius, is currently a hive of construction activity. North Agalega Island is some 12 kilometres long and I .5 kilometres wide, with a total population of less than 300 people. Until recently, it was virtually cut off from the world, with a rudimentary jetty and a small airfield barely fit for light aircraft.
